Hey guys (and gals!) ,

I am trying to finish up a project for my dad in CA. He is in the later stages of battle with cancer. One of the things on his bucket list is to drive his 1965 Sumbeam Tiger again. I have everything I need, except tires. The rear tires are dry rotted and will not even hold air. I need 2 235/50r13 tires for the rear. After a bunch of reasearch, I cannot find anything. Does anybody have a good contact at Toyo, or somewhere else?

Please let me know...I just want to let him drive this awesome car one more time.

Do you care about the brand?

Kevin,

I am not concerned about the brand at this point. My main concern is making it safe to drive. tha car has BFG T/As on it now.

Tirerack.com has 225/50-13 Hoosier autocross tires listed.None of my sources have 235's

Mike, are those DOT/street legal??

Hoosier product #46310 is listed as a DOT tire. It's a slick with two groves.

Thanks Mike. I was hoping for something a little more street friendly, but this may be my only option at this point.

It has been a long time but I ran that size on the rear my 76 capri R/S. It was a Yokohama Y352 I think.

Thanks for the help everybody...I finally found a set of used BFG T/As out of Washington.

is that the set that's 10yo?
If it is,I could not recommend them becouse they are more than 6 years old.

Mike, thanks for theconcern. The tires I found are about 9 years old. I understand the issues with tires that old, but they are the only decent option at this point. The Yokos are just not suited for street driving. Aside from switching to a larger wheel, we are kind of stuck.
Thanks again for all of your help!!
