STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS on
NBC & NBC Sports Network in 2013

New York (September 18, 2012) –Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks and NBC Sports Group have reached an agreement to televise the 2013 Inaugural Stadium SUPER Trucks Season on NBC and NBC Sports Network. Starting in April of 2013, NBC and NBC Sports Network will televise 12 races (11 domestic and one international).

Capitalizing on what was once known as Mickey Thompson’s Off-Road Racing, Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER Trucks will feature high-flying off-road action motorsports fans have been asking for. The entire championship season will be broadcasted on NBC and NBC Sports Network, with the series awarding $500,000 to the Champion driver of Stadium SUPER Trucks.

“It has always been my dream to bring back stadium racing to the masses. I started my career winning a championship in Mickey’s series and now I want to revive his vision and bring back what the motorsports world needs. NBC Sports understands what kind of excitement and value our show will exhibit. This will be extreme wheel-to-wheel, door-to-door, roof-to-dirt racing action for all ages,” said Robby Gordon, President of Stadium SUPER Trucks.

AWESOME

NBC Sports adding F1 has got to be a plus for SST!

Maybe NBC is building a REAL speed channel!

Somebody has to, as I hear it Fox is going to ruin SPEED chanel as we know it now.................

Speedy they can't ruin it , they own it already . That's why a lot of the times you'll see the same announcer crew on both channels .

Change the format, is what I hear to less motorsports to soccer or something, next year, still have races and stuff but the extras like winners circle and dave d. will go.... rumor.....

All about the $$$

So this kinda fits here I guess, it appears that alongside Robbys' SST series joining NBCSN that F1 will be joining the network in 2013 as well.

Dakar, Tour de France, Indycar, Pirelli World Challenge, SST, F1, the occasional Sprint/Midget races they show, Dirtbike stuff, the various other Off-Road stuff they show... Man if they can add whatever the new Grand-Am Series is gonna be come 2014 along with the Le Mans 24 it's gonna be like the Speedvision of old... Well with a little Hockey mixed in l0l

Just thought of something, Monster Jam will likely need to find a new home... I see it ending up on NBCSN in a programing block that involves the SST Series as well as whatever other off-road stuff they show currently (and whatever LOORRS/TORC stuff moves from SPEED to NBCSN).

Let's hope they have more Dakar coverage on the new channel. Live could be WORLD WIDE !! See you in San Diego and LA for SST.

NBC is expanding its motor racing coverage. It has taken the F! coverage away from Speed and now has both Open Wheel venues under contract. So RG's SST series will be running in good company. Hopetul there will be a lot of bleed over from the Open Wheel coverage to his series.
