Say it ain't so!

“We’re going to do everything we can [to race],” Gordon said Friday
at Dover International Speedway. “If I was to miss races, they would be
the weakest races [to get sponsorship] NASCAR has. Our goal is to race,
and that’s what I desire to do. We’re going to continue to do that until
it becomes financially not possible to do that.”

Gordon wouldn’t pinpoint a specific race where he might have to stay home. He said he would not start-and-park.

“We’re still trying to sell races,” Gordon said. “We’re going to run until we can’t run. That’s the best answer I can give.”

Gordon does have commitments for some off-road events. During the race at Pocono in June, Gordon will miss track activity Friday and Saturday so he can run the Baja 500. Michael Waltrip will
practice and qualify the car for him, Gordon said.

Spoiler will change the setups from last year. Turn 2 and Turn 3 will be interesting as the side force is different. Lastly, will Robby downshift in turn 3? :>)

Nazicar took the 3-4 shift away at Pocono by specifying rear gear and I think 3rd gear but that may not be true.

Did Mikey pull one over on Robby? Was Robby just yanking are chain? Did some one just make this rumor up? Mikey must have been able to know the truck race would interfere with the Pocono weekend a long time ago.

So, did the team (or Mikey) not realize that Mikey was required to be halfway across the country those same days? The truck broadcast schedule hasn't recently changed so Mikey not being available shouldn't be a surprise.

All that being said, as long as they qualify I don't really care who's in the car.

Mikey would have been back in time for the race itself, it was other obligations that SPEED wouldnt let him out of . Mikey notified RG before the Charlotte race weekend.Its all a moot point now.
