Robby should take the Polaris truck to Route 66 to give Kyle a driving lesson!

Does anyone know why Robby would'nt be able to take the Pro2 up to the Chicagoland torc race? I think their will be plenty of "eyes" watching that race that it would be worth it.  Seems only natural to go get in the mix with someting he does so well and has so much fun doing!

I am glad Kyle is doing this. I like to watch him on race veiw when Robby is off track.
This is not Kyle's first venture and won't be his last. He was turning competitive laps in testing on Monday. Look for a good show.
Testing? Where is he testing and with what truck? I do not like the his overall.... well him in general but I do like the fact that he has very clean sand toys. Other than his rail i wasnt aware that he has had any seat time in a PRO2.
He tested in Wisconsin on Monday, not sure of the exact location.
OK, to answer one question, it's Kyle "Rowdy" Busch. He tested in Crandon (where RG will run with this series next month) on Monday. According to the tweets I read, after a few laps Kyle was (how familiar is this?) as fast as the leaders.
Why isn't Robby running this event? I asked that same question about 100x, till I got an answer...sponsor. This is a 2 day, top notch (no junk here Speedy) short course off road event. It takes a lil bit of dough for RG to field a ride here. Speakin of which, this event was announced less than a month ago, & wasn't in Big Daddy John's original sponsorship agreement... IMO, if it doesn't get done for this year (which I'm still not ruling out), you can prolly look to see either Menards, or Polaris on the the truck, in the 2011 event. That's given the scheduling still works... I won't tell you why, but my $$$ is on Menards
Hey, Im all about a Bright Ass Yellow Pro2! It would be nice to see Toyo step up and Polaris take a little and Menads take some.... And like way back when Robby put his Wheels on the hood of the Bristol car, it would make a little more sense to do that on the Pro2! Maybe a little Traxxas!? Monster is already everywhere and for that matter so is Traxxas but this event just seems way to good to pass on!
Say what you want about him outside of a car, the fact is he makes most of the NASCAR guys look silly on a weekly basis. Obviously, he gets great equipment, so I'm not saying he can out-drive RG. But he is definitely the best in those 3 series of maximizing what he's given. He can flat-out drive!
Agreed. He has actually gotten better here as of late. Hell its taken a quarter of the time it took his brother to calm down. Not saying that he is not talented as hell cause he is that for sure, its the other aspects of him that i can do with out.
Kyle and Kurt are both fantastic race car drivers.....
Busch picks up additional sponsorship: In addition to teaming with Kyle Busch to promote short-course racing, Traxxas is also supporting Kyle in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. After racing the TORC series mid-week, Kyle will strap into a NASCAR truck for Friday's speedway race [Chicagoland]. His truck will be fully outfitted with Traxxas racing livery, introducing fans to The Fastest Name in Radio Control. Traxxas will also sponsor Kyle in two additional NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events: Talladega on October 30, and Homestead on November 19. Race fans who can't make it to Chicago can watch Kyle Busch make his TORC debut on Discovery HD Theater, which will premier the first of 26 episodes of "The Off-Road Championship" on September 2.(Traxxas.com)(8-19-2010)

To bad Robby could make this happen. Robby has worked with TORC and Traxxas before. I guess they figured they would get more exposure with Kyle.
Difference is, Robby doesnt have a Camping world truck team, Kyle does. For a sponsor like Traxxas, it makes perfect sense for them to sponsor a few truck series races with the hottest truck series driver. The guy is a talent, and the crossover to TORC will be huge exposure. A+ move by Traxxas.

By the way, Robby still has a very good relationship with Traxxas.
Kyle has been working with Ickler to teach him how to drive one of these. I bet he still gets smoked though.
