Robby earned $88,960 for his 18th place finish and added $62,075 for PJ Jones 41st place finish bring in a total $151,035 for RGM at Watkins Glen.(The total equalled 4th place earnings)

At Sonoma Robby earned $92,193 for his 36th place finish plus $72,490 for PJ Jones 43rd place finish for a total of $164,683 for RGM at Sonoma.

PJ's #04 earned $134,565 for the 2 races. (Enough to more than cover the $50,00 penalty Robby was docked with at Charlotte)

Got to wonder why Robby doesn't use this strategy more. If there a handful of start & park teams using this stratgey to earn a payroll, why doesn't RGM use this tatic to bring in more money and use the 2nd team as a R&D team during practices. Just a thought.
Start & Park is the NASCAR version of Cash for Clunkers
During an interview, one owner described "Start & Park" as nothing more than strictly business. Most races a "Start & Park" team can walk away with a $40,000+ profit. The ultimate goal is to hopefully attract attention of a sponsor with a smaller budget. Most veteran drivers don't like the idea, but with today's economy it's a must to get by and pay the bills for several out of work in the racing business. A team able to make all 36 races as a "Start & Park" team can make a $1.4 million dollar profit.

I'm not in favor of "Start & Park," but I'd love to see RGM attempt 2 cars and use the other as a R&D car during practices. With the type money PJ brought in over the 2 road courses, it couldn't hurt financially. Have a handful of races with the intent to race and the others for R&D during practices, but ("Start & Park"). Just a thought!
