In RG's interview he mentioned he was going to enter some "rally stuff". Does that mean with the Hummer or some other platform. Are we developing a new car for DAKAR?

It would be a no brainer for him to run an additional rally type race, especially with him mentioning the need to re-design stuff for 2011 Dakar. Again, this is just based off his interviews from Dakar, I have no details about any re-designs at the moment.
I'd be all for at least one more rally type race if for no other reason than to get some real world 'practice' on whatever changes are in store for 2011
Vermont SportsCars alway a few fun rally toys for sale. Last time I checked so did ProDrive. Just a though for the off weekend rallys.
TRANS SIBERIAN RALLY HERE WE COME!!!!
Either that or the Silk Way Rally. VW finished 1-2-3 in the 2009 Silk way rally, beating them at their own game would be such sweet revenge for RG!!
Silkway would be an actual option (PAX too if ASO does it again) since it would be perfect for the Hummer and something that should be done if winning Dakar is something series instead of just lip service.

There are several cool rally-raid options.....
Terranova won the Tunisia (Oi-Libya) Rally last year, but not many of the Dakar regulars ran in that race. Eric Vigouroux got 7th overall running for Toyo Tires in a Pro-System Racing Chevrolet.
Does anyone know if XTRAC could build a 4wd application fo RG and the hummer? They have many wins in DAKAR, yes I know it's not RG's platform but these guys at XTRAC could build the drive line and RG could build the car around it and still use the LS7 motor if he wanted to. Maybe RG is thinking different platform now, but as the year goes on it will be interesting to see what unfolds. If anyone can break the back of VW...... RG can. Go......RG
Yes Xtrac could build Robby a 4 wheel application as they already have a 4 wheel drivetrain. Problem is Xtrac's success in our type of off-road world has not been been all that stunning. They seem to have there 2 wheel drive class 1 transaxle figured out with a few teams and then some like Brenden Gaughn are still having issues. There TT tranny as far as I know is not being used by any teams The last one was the new VW TT and thier biggest issue was the Xtrac. At the Baja 1000 they changed the trans aleast twice during the race. Jimco was first to help develop it, but do to continued costs Jimco could not continue to work with Xtrac on it. Even though Xtrac came to our off-road racing with a ton of knowledge in rally and other forms of racing. They had never seen shock loads like what our cars and trucks are putting out. Inputshafts that could propel a top fuel drag car with 8000 hp were braking in less then 100 miles in a TT. I dont know if Robby would want to put his whole program in to a R&D basket with Xtrac, especially considering there history with our type of off-road built vehicles.
I pray he meant more than what amounts to a couple of exhibition laps at the fucking X Games.
Silk Way would be the best one to run.
Absolutely. But you can't tell me the Northern Forest wouldn't be awesome. Too bad it is coming up so soon.

Who wouldn't want to see the Hummer like this...
