If he broke the rules, he broke the rules. I fail to see how that is ridiculous.
It's all Grey to me...

A grey area is a term for a border in-between two or more things that is unclearly defined, a border that is hard to define or even impossible to define, or a definition where the distinction border tends to move.
I never get it right. Is it GRAY or GREY,, ?? LOL
"Gordon was confident his car was legal when contacted by FOXSports.com. He spoke with Sprint Cup Series director John Darby and doesn't expect any further repercussions as he passed both the pre- and postrace height inspections."

anybody remember the last time Darby told RG everything is going to be OK?
Ask Carl Long
That Carl Long deal was horrible. If i remember correctly he stands to possibly loose like $275,000.00
He showed up trying to make money and now he's in the whole that much after a mistake.
Well if he passed inspection he passed so I don't see how they can do anything but then again it it NASCAR
pray and wait
I'm so sick of NASCAR and all there craaapp!!! Go indy racing!!!!
My gut tells me this is not over yet! Per Robby's statement the #7 passed pre and post race height inspections. But that does not mean the parts on the car were legal, just that it passed ride height. There are more inspections then just ride height that is checked.
Well being that is robby dealing with nascar, there goes the top 35 owners points. Even if they can't define exactly what it was that was wrong they will figure it out as they go, and by the time they figure out that nothing was wrong, it will be too late. Nascar would love to see him outside the top 35 owners points. TOG you said it right GREY IS GREY, but not when it is not one of nascraps finest. Just my thoughts, we have been here before, just don't think they are going to give in this time. Hoping for the best but being it is nascar expecting the worst.
As long as the rear end housing meets the NASCAR specifications outlined in the rule book, and Robby's team didn't overstep any of the gray areas regarding the rear end housing, I don't foresee a penalty.
