Any possible driver change will fuel speculation like this. Silly season is a bit slow so far this year.

It's also part of the DEI drama, he became the team's anchor when Jr bolted. While functionally the team was kaput when Theresa wouldn't sell it to him, there was still the illusion of Earnhardt involvement while the name remained as part owner. This would be the final blow. POS has talked lately about not waiting until the end of this season before hanging up his driver's suit... thank you very much... so tossing names around now can give him a more graceful exit, having to sign his driver of choice before someone else does. Truex may not be the greatest talent on the track but he's better than a lot of them and a Busch champion. And as we all know well, having the greatest talent doesn't equal results.

If Truex moves, that leaves Bass Pro Shops sponsorship up for grabs. I bet it ends up with a third Stewart-Haas car, or as a reaplacement for Army on Newmans car.

I'd heard BPS is going to Stewart-Haas shortly after Stewart announced thats where he was going.
As far as how it's going to work over there, thats up for debate. Both Stewart & Newman are my "brothers in tackle" so...alternating primary on 1, associate on the other?
