Kerry Tharp addressed that already stating teams would not be allowed to sell off their owner points. The only way they would transfer to another team would be if the original owner still had some ownership (example Ganassi's #41 and #42 moving to DEI w/ Ganassi still the owner). The other's would be disolved and those below would move up. Nascar will not allow teams to sell-off points.

It's the Top 6 of each manufacturer by owner points. That's why Tony Stewart & Ryan Newman aren't in the lineup.

Of course all this still depends on whether or not Robby stays with Dodge. Still hearing Robby wants to stick with Dodge as long as he can get engines from Penske in 2009, but with Menard at Yates...you never know.
No more Petty Enterprises... what a sad day in NASCAR!!
It ain't over yet folks. No deal so far.

Gillette couldn't raise the cash to get BDR... Whose to say that BV isn't trying to buy out GEM??
Don't know that they are, but just sayin.
Dave Rodman from NASCAR.COM was just on SIRIUS SPEEDWAY. He and another of one his colleges have been working this PE story hard for over a week now. He said something is going to pop as soon as tomorrow morning regarding PE and GEM. He said: putting together the pieces of the puzzle that they have now, the news will not be "pretty" to the "traditionalist".

I'm taking that to mean that the world of PE as we now know it is about to change forever. And not in a positive way as far as traditional PE fans are concerned.

Dave Moody went on to say that he's personally afraid that bad news (for PE employees and fans) is forthcoming due to the lack of information his sources at PE currently have. He said sources themselves don't know a thing of what's going on and are themselves afraid for their jobs.

Sad day indeed. :(
