115 points clear of 36th place.

 

If Homestead finishes as such (just suspend belief a little)....

 

1. 38 - 190pts

2. 71 - 175pts

3. 37 - 170pts

4. 34 - 165pts

 

RGM would need 76 points...29th place or better.

So if I understand this correctly the #7 is locked in 4 sure , the sky isn't falling the camel grass isn't growing and my cup is half full (of SPEED !) till Martinsville ?

Martinsville was the turning point. It was looking dicey up to that point.
Odds are pretty close to zero that those four cars will pass him in the standings after Homestead.
