LOL!! Yeah I Coptered in for that race too.. LOL!!
Did that the first few years they did the Fallen Firefighters Foundation event there, but this year I threw-out my back about two weeks pre-race, so I'm still a bit of a gimp right now, so not this year. An interesting side-bar though - The first year they did the event there, we went to the Hospitality Teent and they hahd Clint Boyer and Richard Childress there for a Q&A session. I asked RC about the FDNY colors that RG drove to a win in 2003, and RC talked for a few minutes to the croud about RG and that race. RC actually had some pretty nice tings to say about RG and his work as a single car owner-driver.
Exactly how many drivers have merchandise trailers at any given race? And who in there right mind would base their ticket buying dicision on swag! Honestly?!
And if you did ( eye roll ) Robby Gordon fans have far more information available on this site, to make informed decisions.
Never said that I based my decision tio buy tix based on swag... It's just that if you have a favorite driver, it's nice to see him at the track on Sunday, to see him run well, and to be able to show your support of him (along with other fans) buy being able to purchase and wear appropriate swag! For the three races that I went to his year (probably a couple thousand dollars in overall expenses when totaled), I never got to do any of those things. So as I started by saying, I'm hopeful that there is some hope for next season, because I've already renewed my Vegas and Glen tickets, and the Dover renewal just came in the mail!
Someone please clear this up for me. The top 35, for the #7 car, is important so KC is guaranteed to race at Daytona and the other first five races in 2011, or RG?
Who promised that for KC? In general it's more valuable to be in the top 35.
Daytona is still 4 months away and I have no clue as to what the plan might really be. But, don't you think Robby can race his way in to the big show if need be?
hard to say.....had to do it before and missed it be much better if he was "locked" in
having to qual. then race your way in during a 125 dual is pretty tough, many things can happen that you can't control,. not sayin' he couldn't......but
sure its better to be locked in ( and they will ) , but RG has done it before ( 2006 )

My focus is on Kansas. I am not worried about a race that is 5 months away.
What happened to Dakar? Did we just Fast Forward to Daytona? Who won the Cup Championship? Since when did RGM become a 3 car team over the winter...and how the crap did I miss Christmas!!!!
Well Daytona has alot more to do with Owner points after Dover (2) than Dakar or Christmas. It was a legit question given the current situation at RGM while battling for the top 35. By the way Jimmie Johnson.
