Points scenarios:

RGM has a +98 point lead over 36th (+33 track positions, 26 would have to score a Top 10 at Richmond and the 7 finish last)

RGM has a +107 point lead over 37th

RGM is -53 points behind 34th

RGM is -82 points behind 33rd

RGM is -86 points behind 32nd

Updates:

Labonte & Taxslayer only has 1 more race at Texas in the 71

FRM has no primary sponsorship and could drop 1 team by year end / or for 2011

26 & 38 still have to qualify on speed for Richmond

NEXT RACE FOR ROBBY: LOUDON

98.. Gotta race soon..
It's officially time to panic !
Why? Still a good lead...Loudon will be back full force and the 71 team has only 1 more sponsored race with Labonte...they are more reachable for us to pass than the 26 & 38 cathcing us!
The 144 point lead over the 38 going into Atlanta is down to 107? Only another 35+ point swing?

It's actually NOT still a good lead. And Richmond is another race where the 26 and 38 will be racing, while the 7 is parked.

Like the last five races, people should reasonably expect another 25+ points off of that lead at Richmond.

What does it mean to be full force at Loudon? Only a ten to fifteen point drop there? Where else is the #7 expected to race this year? 'Dega? That crap shoot may be the saving grace for the #7 this season if the car isn't a start and park.

It is what it is. But it isn't a good lead.
Is Robby going to be at Dega? Just curious before I buy the tickets
Loudon - YES, Dega - Probably Yes, Texas - Probably Yes, Charlotte - Probably Yes
Texas is a MAPEI race
After Primm, its time to fire up the 07 for the rest of the year. Every race it can make takes a spot that the 26 may need to qualify. Unfortunately, Blaney is a pretty good qualifier so will have to beat them (or at least match them) on the track.
This may have been covered somewhere else in all of the excitement. At Loudon and the other races where RG has them sold, will RG drive the 7? How will this work out? Just curious. I hope all of this works out and his plan for next year comes to fruition. Have a great Labor Day!!
Don't point to Loudon as the 'we're back' race. Even when he's been on track this year, outside of right turns and restrictor plates, the results have been less than spectacular. Blame the economy, RG, the rotating CC's, whatever you want, it's just sad to see where this team is at currently with nothing really out there to give us fans hope for the future.
Its not a big lead, but still a lead. Robby will be back at Loudon, & the #7 will probably go 100% full races from then on out, flopping between KC & RG. whatever happens, happens.
Full races will help, but they REALLY need to figure out what's wrong with the cars before then.

People can hate on KC all they want (and most here do all the time), but he's not 100% at fault. BL wrecked a car, PJ wrecked a car, RG is often slow, and KC is slow. Somewhere there's something wrong with the cars that RGM is building.
