Still a big enough cushion to hang in the top 35 unless he really chokes or just skips races. I hope the next year's announcement is that he either leaves Cup for IRL or merges with a real CUP Team, not BAM.

Mini to Compete in the 2011 World Rally Championship - Racing
Prodrive’s new Countryman WRC hopes to recapture some of Mini’s 1960’s rally glory.

In a surprise announcement, Prodrive—the English company synonymous with rallying success—has said that it is developing a Mini Countryman to compete in the FIA Super2000 class of the World Rally Championship in 2011 and beyond. This Mini Countryman WRC, produced in close cooperation with Mini, will be an all-wheel-drive machine powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder built by BMW Motorsport. The first test is scheduled to take place this fall, likely in England.

The Mini name is legendary in rallying, with drivers such as Paddy Hopkirk competing in the tiny car against the likes of the V-8-powered Fords in the 1960s, even winning the famed Monte Carlo Rallye three times!

Hmm... Robby is a shoe-in.

High hopes for a sad day, but we are still in the top 35 and only a few points from being able to move up a spot again, thanks Zoom....

Man, we were looking good until that tranny went south. Got to 11th place rather smoothly, then the backslide. I went to sleep after that.......I mean who cares about the rest of these corporate spokesmen....er, drivers?

Suck for Robby, but I wont call that a dull race. Montoya, Ambrose and Busch raced like true road racers. All overtaking maneuvers were very well set up by taking different line into a corner as opposed to Sonoma where you see dive bombing and punting. And I love the new run off at turn 11, reminds me to the Adelaide circuit where the Super V8's racer.

I enjoyed the 'battle' between Montoya and Ambrose , that was IMO , some good racing .
