Headline from Jayski is that Nascar is to meet with Richard Childress and Bowyer's team about their Richmond car. It was "close" to tolorances. This is supposed to to be black & white. It was B&W with Robby at Daytona over the nose piece, it was B&W with Carl Long over the motor, It was B&W with Robby over the brace at Darlington. Its kinda grey with Richard Childress, Joe Gibbs, and Hendrick. 11 & 48 intially failed post race but then they were OK.

Unless Nascar only wants Childress, Hendrick, Gibbs, Penske,& Roush they need to level the playing field. Small & single car teams should be given the same curtesy tha the big 5 are given or maybe more if there is no intent to cheat. What would the penalty have been if RG were caught with an extra set of tires?

Maybe I should go back to USAC, CRA, WoO or take up watching wrestling. At least wrestling tells you upfront its only entertainment?

I don't understand why your so suprised.
If a car is "close to tolerance" then it is legal. Period. No matter who owns it. Insane to argue about something that's close as long as it's within. Outside is another matter. Carl Long wasn't even close. Hendcrap cars fail time and again but magically always OK. It has NEVER been a level playing field, even back to the sport's inception. NASCAR didn't suddenly start playing favorites when Robby took to the track. The sport began with redneck moonshiners outrunning the law! Where in the world did you ever get the idea that there somewhere exists a level playing field?

Not in the NFL where key games are won or lost in Vegas, not in the NBA where ref's decide the outcome. Not in the game of life! Anybody here feel they're treated fairly? By their boss? By their spouse? By the government? So why should NASCAR be different?
Dont think for a minute that Nascar hasnt let smaller teams slide on stuff during technical inspection, when they could have been real dicks about. We just dont hear about all those instances.
