NASCAR announced today that Robby Gordon, driver of the No. 7 car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been placed on probation until Dec. 31 for a rule infraction he committed March 4 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

I know this was several years ago, but does anyone remember when Kasey Kahne hit a 60 year old security guard controlling the drivers motor coach gate at the at the Homestead race? Kasey did not have his drivers credentials and the security guard would not let him threw the gates. Kasey got off his golf cart and shoved the guard to the ground.

Kasey was found guilty in a court of law and was fined $50 and given 50 hours of community service in order to dismiss the misdemeanor charge. Their was a civil suit filed but it was said Kasey resolved that case before it went to court. I never found or saw anywhere where NASCAR put Kasey on Probation or punished him in any way.

My guess is because it happened at the last race of the year so NASCAR was not going to do anything as the new season is a new year? So if this is the case then you need to square up all your beef's with other drivers at Homestead!
Good idea Nikal, but I don't think the snake oil salesman will be around that long!
No, because Kasey had those cool Nationwide commercials and sold more T-shirts and they perceive more marketable.......it's been that way for a while, same shit used to happen to Spencer too. Look what they did to Carl Long............
Nascrap hates Robby. They always have. They suspend him over a small altercation with a DICK. Other drivers have done much worse, and never even got a slap on the wrist. If JR. did something like this, they would IGNORE it. Nascrap is so 2-faced, they have their favorites that can do no wrong, and then they punish all the others.Punishment is always fast and hard, when it comes to Robby. If you see Kevin Conway at the track, tell him to pay his bills, then KICK him.

KC dug himself a grave so deep that no amount of Extenz could give enough of a rise to see daylight. IF anybody in the garage had an ounce of respect for him, that's gone. He should be kissing Robby's butt for the opportunity he gave him. Instead he's throwing him under the bus for a cheap piece of tacky publicity. Once he screws Front Row Joe and stiffs nascar for the commercial time, it will be the last we see of him. What a scum bag.
Email for fan comments or concern is fanfeedback@NASCAR.COM . Everyone please send them a little note in support of RG and the team
Just sent my email!!!
imo the crime does not fit the punishment, Robby has to be very careful to not get into another scuffle or NASCAR will suspend him, and it better not happen before a road course race.

in any case, NASCAR are such hypocrites, how can they celebrate the fight that happened in Daytona 1979 and say what a great thing it was for the sport? and a fight that happens behind the scenes is out of line? Give me a break NASCAR.
Or Jeff Burton and Jeff Gordon last year
Derrick, 2 guys wrecking on the track while racing then fighting is 1 thing.... this is something you do when no one is remotely around....
I think I will just wait untill.................Joe does'nt get paid. Then we will see some shit hit the fan. I would bet Robby was trying to tell Joe N. to be careful and that's all.........
