Police still investigating driver scuffle

Associated Press

LAS VEGAS -- Police are still investigating a scuffle between NASCAR drivers Robby Gordon and Kevin Conway last week that prompted the racing series to place Gordon on probation.

Las Vegas police Officer Bill Cassell said Friday that no significant injuries and no damage resulted from the March 4 altercation in a garage parking lot at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Cassell says no witnesses were immediately identified after Conway filed a police report alleging misdemeanor battery. The results of the police investigation will go to the Clark County district attorney.

Conway briefly drove for Gordon in the Sprint Cup Series last year, and the drivers are suing each other.
Maybe Robby should take anger management classes like T. Steewart did - his hot head antics cause more trouble for him than they are worth. He should have picked an alley in Vegas proper not the track. Kevin owes Robby some of his Robbkie of the year winings at least. J.
@Joan, sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more.Settling an issue in the back alley would and should involve the police.Race track issue's are race track issue's.Just like 'what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' saying is really 'what happens at the track stays at the track'.Conman broke an unwritten rule, plain and simple and by doing so insured his future or lack of in stock car racing.
Unlike Stewart,Robby has never been arrested (to the best of my limited knowledge) for his'passion'.
Stewart assaulted a man over track preparation! Are you kidding me,there is something wrong in his head.
Conman's advertising partner owe Robby 600+ thousand dollars,no comparison.
Can't agree here, cops and nascrap should never have been involved, a little dust up in the pits with nobody getting hurt but a little so called pride if he had one (conway) hurt, is nothing but media sticking there a nose in where it don't belong, leave it alone and move on, lawyers $$$$ win on this thing..............
Cops have better things to do while they're being paid with our tax money. Get real.
Just wondering, what criteria Nascar would be using during the probationary period. It seems to me that they are kind of making it up as they go. So if Robby gets into someone in the next race, are they going to say it is another violation. Or for some extraordinary chance he wins both Napa, and Watkins Glen, has 2 wins which might qualify him for the chase. Do they say sorry, you are on probation.

Or does it just mean that you get absolutely no Air time..... Just curious....
