And people complain about "cheaters" now. Just wait....computer hackers will have a new area to work in. What ever happened to NA$CARS "keep the costs down" ?

Yeah, this new fangled stuff is for the birds...like the interweb. Next thing you know they'll be announcing overhead cam engines for the 2033 Cup season.
Electric motors with BIG solar panel ricer wings!
@WJM NASCAR will use no technology before its time. It's important for the technology to mature on the street, Formula 1, and other racing series before NASCAR will use it.

Is NASCAR going to run single-port or multi-port fuel injection? Why not jump directly to a KERS / Hybrid setup? At least make a jump to the nearest decade.

What recent technical innovative that was developed in NASCAR (team or NASCAR) has been transition to the street? New Ford engine, splitter, wing, etc?

It seems to be backward. Another reason I'm losing respect for NASCAR.
Well said.
NASCAR will use no technology before it becomes obsolete.
whats wrong with carburators? One thing fuel injection will eliminate is 'special' carb's like the one (my personal guess) Kurt Busch used to win Sears. It will even the playing field in this area.Carb 'feel' is area an engine tune specialist can help a driver/crew chief with car feel, race strategy, ect. Some say black art ( if I can do it ,how black art is it?)
There is nothing wrong with carburetors, they work great on my lawnmower. lol

I think if left to the manufactures they would want to showcase their new technologies and use racing as the R&D test bed. I believe the core fans would be more involved because it would bring back inter-manufacture competition. It may even bring in more fans because they would see the showroom car on the track.

Finally it will bring back win on Sunday and sell on Monday.

I hate parity and IROC / COT racing!
@GasOn, As you and both know it's just another expense for owners and continuance of Na$craps 'BRANDING" that is the COT.
NASCAR doesn't know how to spell technology. They're a bunch of mafia cheating fucks that pay the networks to go to a break or interview every time Robby is up. At the end of the day, the winners and champions in NASCAR are rarely determined by driver skills and mainly by money and backing.

In addition to adding two more road-races, for all of the other tracks they should have all the teams prepare the cars the best they can and as if their own drivers will be driving the car and then have a draw for the drivers to determine which car they'll be driving that weekend and see how it unfolds.
wait, Nascar pays networks to go to commercials every time RG qualifies...... that's the funniest friking thing i have EVER heard......that was classic !!!!
your right Robert,Na$crap doesn't pay the them to go to commercial or pan away from Robby and others.Na$crap simply tells them.
well Mike it seems Nascar is doing everything in their power to not get RG or the 7 on the screen, according to some...... what would be amazing is if the 7 actually won a race and didn't get interviewed...... then i'd believe the conspiracy...
