The 2010 season is thankfully winding down and I find myself at the point of reflecting on the year. I like to call it the "year in review." Robby himself set the tone right at the beginning when he announced that he would be running a limited schedule,  and sponsorship was dicey. I kind of groaned and said to myself, "well he knows what's best for his situation." I have followed this man unconditionally for several years, and have ridden the "Robby rollercoaster." I have no illusions, and my glasses/contacts have clear lenses. When Gene came back I had a brief moment of hope but knew in my heart of hearts that the marriage would be short simply because Robby CANNOT listen to someone else. It's always been his way or the highway! At least Gene was around for Sears Point. Now, here is where my frustration starts to creep in, this "start and park" stuff needs to go. I don't know anything about this Conway kid so will give him the benefit of the doubt but Robby needs to drive his own car. I loved the Speedfactory TV stuff and I miss new episodes but I'm sure that was kind of a temporary thing too. I keep hearing rumblings about "where's his trailer? I haven't seen the bloody thing in two years so I'm hearing ya kids! Word has come down that Rob's schedule in the car will be even more limited next year and that is making me tweak a little. Is this an economic thing or is he beginning to retire? When he does it will be a truly Black day for me and I will be in mourning! I always try to look at the glass as being half full but IT HAS BEEN VERY TOUGH THIS YEAR! I'm just kind of sad because Robby's driving can border on brilliant, it's awful when he's not in the car and I just don't was to see him drift off into a sea of mediocrity.

"well he knows what's best for his situation." -you have the correct answer in your first paragraph. That answers all your questions ( trailer, limited schedule, conway,s&p, etc )
You said it well. I check the entry list every week and find myself disappointed when he is not driving. I too have followed him unconditionally. The owner/driver - one car team is a tough deal especially in this economy. I feel for him. I so want to see him succeed.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Let's see what happens next.
