LOL! Jimmie and Casey Mears ran the SuperLites class...little cars similar to today's Rhino.

I miss it too...............I used to race in it. We had 2 toyota 4-runners that raced in the ultra stock class.

Rob won EVERYTHING back then. They used to call him the "Alloy Boy"...opposite of Ivan "Iron Man" Stewart. Good days for sure.

The good ole days look painful. The TT of today is like a Cadilac compared to back then!
A stadium race in one of those old school rides is probably equal to a San Felipe 250 on the body!

That was actually a VERY muddy track...they're sliding all over the place and going really slow. Those trucks used to really fly around those stadium tracks...especially at a track like the LA Coliseum...jumping up and down the 100+ foot parastyle. Those Cal Wells Toyota's were very high tech...like off-road formula one cars. Good Stuff!
