Hey Country Boy here's #@)(Q)(#()U# Entry List!!! :)
Good week for 2 cars. The #75 & 92 won't make it, so only need to worry about beating 2 others.
The 75 won't make it... to the track.
Thats True.
2 #77 cars in the field this week uh? wonder if Robby will have to actually put 177 on the car?
No if Robby makes the race he will remain 77
Car numbers can only be two digits, per NASCAR rules. Robby Gordon has rights to the owner number 177 while Kevin Buckler has rights to the owner number 277 (Roger Penske has first rights to the owner number 77). Buckler will have to change his number if both cars do actually make an attempt as Robby filed for the number prior to Buckler. I did notice though that Jayski erroneously reported the car with more owner points get rights to the car number 77 though this is irrelevant as the #177 has more points than the #277 (1 vs. 0 to be exact).
Actually according to NASCAR Rusty Wallace owns the #77 this year as he bought the "entire team" from Penske.
You are correct. Roger Penske is just the listed owner not the actual owner. Didn't fully think that one through when I posted earlier.
That's not completely erroneous by Jayski... If duplication of numbers occur, which usually happens with the part-time teams, the fastest qualifier usually gets to use the number unless one team is considered full-time.

RGM having attempted every race would probably be considered full time, thus having more owner points...

Between two full time teams, it usually goes to the team that has been using the number first...hence why Stewart ditched the #4 when Morgan McCLure said they were going to show up at Daytona...they had been renewing the license on that number every year even though thye barely used it the last few.
Jesus what a headache.
duct tape the changed numbers.
