As far as I can tell those were all either founded and/or are still based in France. And there are also many more International Sporting Sanctioning Bodies (as well as not Sporting ones) that are based or created in France as well, and most of the major sporting ones were founded a little more then 100 years ago.

Why is that? Like it can't just be a coincidence.
