At the very least I say I am sorry to Robby for having a good race turn bad on the last lap. Now we head to California and work on a win there. Lets go Robby!
They came, they ran a pretty good race, pitstops were good, they kept up with the adjustments as best they could, the spotter was fantastic, the new CC and Robby seemed to communicate well. The last lap incident is just something that happens, it's daytona, it is what it is. Look to the next race and see what happens.
ANYONE KNOW HOW MANY POSITIONS WERE WON OR LOST DUE TO PIT STOPS?
pitstops were decent, but alot of teams took 2 tires, fuel only, etc, so you cant really say how many he gained or lost. Also, a few stops were 'take your time , get it right ' stops to fix a few issues that came up during the race. I would say the pitcrew held their own for their first race together. Didnt gain, but really didnt lose much either.
I agree, TOG. It looked like any slow stops were the result of late pitstall selection which caused difficult in/out traffic, not poor crew execution.
I want to know why did he have to pit for the last time. He could of jumped up 12 spots or so. and why durning the whol;e race is he always at the tail end of the lead laps. Even on the restarts, he is like 1 to 2 car lenghs back. why? All others are right on the car in front of them bumpers and are able to make passes within a lap. I just feel Robby racing too conserveative instead of going out there and do what he wants to do, WIN. or at least top ten. Im getting sick of him being a mid packer.
Most everyone pitted. True, some stayed out (only damaged cars), which Robby tends to do. He is a gambler, but that time, he was thinking mainstream. If not for Jeff Gordon, it seems he would have placed anywhere from 19th-22nd. I don't fault him for pitting. God Damn, I'm a Robby Fan! and Ill get over it.
Hay he ran so good. 2010 is looking good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok! So how can we change Robby's Karma? He has been taken out in the last 5 Speedway races through other drivers running out of talent. Running in the back or up front doesn't seem to help him.
car was too loose the entire race.
so was everybodys
He could try leading the race for a change
