Kahne is going to Red Bull for the final 5 races. I liked things better when it was Evernham Racing, before the merger. This is a good oppurtunity for Aric Almirola, he deserves another shot
Isn't Almirola signed with Hendrick? Thought he was driving Jr's nationwide car next year. He was on deck to sub for Jimmy and Jeffy when their wives delivered but didn't get a chance. So I figured uncle rick was dangling him on a string to see if he can fill Jeffy's shoes when he calls it quits.
Maybe the RPM thing is just temporary until the end of the season, theres alot of juggling of drivers going on right now lol
Most teams aren't going to keep a driver from getting a legit shot in a Cup ride. That would be raelly petty, considering HMS doesn't have any seats in Cup right now.

Almirola is going to drive the 88 for Junior on the NW Series next season, but he's not doing anything on Sundays right now. Maybe RPM said 'We'll let Kahne walk now if we can have Almirola.'
Brake failure in two of the last three races! Sorry but Kahne did the right thing. If you can't trust what your driving, it's time to get out.
Or was it really "brake failure"? Maybe Kahne just wanted out. He lied about being to sick to get bake in the car.
Jayski just posted thar RPM is closeing it doors after this weekend!
ambrose?
Dinger?
FROM TWITTER, JAYSKI & FOX SPORTS:
The house of cards is finally falling for George Gillett's Richard Petty Motorsports. The assembly line from Roush Fenway Racing and Roush Yates engines has stopped running to RPM. Engines have been picked up, cars have been repossessed, and sources on both sides -- RPM and RFR -- say no cars will be delivered beyond Martinsville this weekend. On Thursday morning, crewmen at RPM were told they may not have jobs after the race at Martinsville Speedway this weekend. Neither Petty team CEO Foster Gillett nor team Vice President Robbie Loomis could be reached for comment. RPM currently fields four cars in the Sprint Cup Series -- the #9, #19, #43 and #98. Kasey Kahne was released from his contract as of Wednesday night and is expected to drive for Red Bull Racing for the remainder of the year and in 2011. Elliott Sadler is expected to drive for Kevin Harvick Inc. next year. Paul Menard signed a multi-year deal to drive for Richard Childress Racing starting next year. His current crew chief Richard "Slugger" Labbe will continue his duties at RCR. AJ Allmendinger re-signed a multiyear deal to drive the #43 Ford this summer. Allmendinger is currently 20th in the point standings. Marcos Ambrose was signed to drive the #19 Ford in August. Ambrose currently drives for JTG/Daugherty Racing and is 26th in the point standings.(Fox Sports)
RGM needs to get on the phones....Stanley Tools, Best Buy, Charter, Wix Filters, Valvoline, US Air Force, Hunts Bros Pizza all sponsored RPM. Stanley Tools was set to return for most of 2011. Air Force, Hunts Bros Pizza & others were set to return also in limited races. Best Buy was to decide by the end of the year.

WOW! This will shake up rides...Marcos Ambrose & AJ Allmendinger ???
Thats just jaw dropping if its true.

Valvoline also has that prior relationship with Robby as well....
