Just a thought or two. Why does the United States not send it's best and brightest to this event? Robby should be in this event every year. Germany sends Michael Shumacher and Sebastian Vettel. England sends Jenson Button. America sends a converted dirt biker (Travis Pastrana) and a formula drift champion ( Tanner Foust). Now, don't get me wrong, I like both of these guys but it seems we are not up to snuff. 2 years after Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon took their ball and went home crying, no one will go over there. If you ask me it should be Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart EVERY year. These are the two most naturally talented drivers from the States who have proven time and again that they will find success in any vehicle. Anyone know why Robby hasn't been back since 2001?

I like that =D
thats what I'm talking about !
Hmmm FHFL, just want to temper your aspirations. First 2 stages are WRC style, expect Robby to drop 10 minutes atleast to the VW's, after that we start playing catch up in desert till we are hit again with the tight Chilian stages. We should approach the Dakar GODS with a humble pie in one hand and the steering wheel in the other and maybe they will bless our boy.
Like others have said...the way the ROC is set-up and run these days it favors Pastrana and Foust because they are familiar with rally cross.
I thought they all raced Camaro IROC Zs no?
I think you are thinking about IROC and not the ROC.
I was kidding, but thanks for the update...
aw man... 'bangs head on table'...
If Robby wins Dakar this year he very well may be invited to the ROC next year...
i never even knew about this race???
Yup...Robby still holds to course record time from the last time he ran it.
