STAGE 5 TRACKING

STAGE 5: CHILECITO > TUCUMAN

Connection 384km | Special Stage 527km | Total 911km

COURSE OVERVIEW

After two race days with completely separate routes, everyone will gather together to tackle the longest stage of the rally. They will need to be extremely resistant to overcome these two sections of the special stage which will primarily feature sand. All day long the competitors will make headway on off-piste sections: those who have poorly assessed the limits of their engine will constantly be on the verge of overheating and all the more so, as the region’s temperatures are generally very high. At the bivouac in Tucuman, the candidates for the podium will have been whittled down to a select few, as many of them will no longer be a part of this elite group. For many others, their timing and mechanical mishaps will only become apparent in the middle of the night.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

In the radio they said that for security reasons the re start at WP5 is delayed until further notice...

So this could be it for today

So is it OK to assume that Robie is in Romas tracks?

I would guess not,Robby started many positions back of Nani

and the bikes were all over the same place too

Roma, Devill, Gordon

The American’s Hummer is in provisional third position 18’44' behind Nani Roma.
Nani Roma has put in a good performance so far today, since on completion of the first half of the special stage, he boasts a lead of 10’33' over second placed driver Giniel de Villiers.

I call Bullshit on this one...

I agree Bullshit..

like red bull were delayed and they may have not reached the penalty from the second part, as the kings of dakar say the French are canceled the second stage because our babies even fail
