STAGE 5: COPIAPO > ANTOFAGASTA
Connection 239km | Special Stage 458km | Total 697km
COURSE OVERVIEW
This is the first of the rare special stages in which all categories will compete. At the start of the race, the most confident drivers will be able to take advantage of the fast tracks to try to move up in the overall standings. But the temptation to do so may be risky, particularly in the hard-to-handle fesh-fesh areas where absolute self-control is the only guarantee of success. Overtaking here requires precision handling to the extreme.
The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

“We don't have a good set-up”[IMG]“On this type of track, we don't have a good set-up with the shock-absorbers. The car was not easy to drive, so I preferred to reduce the speed a little bit and not take to many risks because I made too many mistakes at the beginning, so I didn't want to do them again. We need to find a good set-up and to adjust the car every day for the next day, because we never drive in this kind of condition. I don't know about full confidence with this car because we don't exactly know the durability of the car. I know that if we have to stop before the end of the rally it will be a big frustration, so I prefer to manage it bit by bit and try to finish the race”.
This I find interesting. Finally admitting they are "all out to sea" with their setup....again I think they have a design issue they can't tune out with these shocks.
I must have missed something. Who? What? When?
I think that was Perfecthansel whining about his car.
Yes, I found it on the race-dezert forum. Thanks
actually he's confirming what many have said after watching their testing video's and the footage from earlier in this Rally.
No shit !
Unstable most of the time, the Gordini is super smooth in comparison!
sorry the comment at end was not mine, should have not copied that part, not that it's wrong or anything lol
Reminds me of their early days with the LM prototype sportscar program. All speed and no reliability. French, don't you know?
