STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > SAN JUAN

Connection 107km | Special Stage 518km | Total 625km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Any rest will be short-lived, because before reaching San Juan, the competitors will have a particularly busy schedule: quite simply the longest special stage in the rally, which is varied enough to unsettle even the most experienced of drivers. Hard terrain at the start of the race will be followed by dusty sections in the middle of the day and a sandy stretch to finish. This is the first real test, which can only be successfully overcome through constant vigilance.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

OK time to let the Gordini have its head. They will have the bugs beat out of her before this day is done. The passing button is gonna get used today. BEEP BEEP!!!!!

Some issue with the timming, imposible to be 45' min behind, the cars started with 3' gap.
Twitter reports of burning oil smell from the Gordini.

Through KM80 of 518, Robby Gordon is over 45 minutes behind. Unconfirmed reports from the field said that he was stopped at KM70, and there was a strong oil smell.

Has the Gordini any oil tank to refill the oil level on the go?

:-(

Sorry, Chat feature goes crazy when a bunch of people log on. I have to turn it off from time to time. It will be back on soon.
