Join us for the Dakar Rally's second day on Jan 4, 2009 , right here and chat about the action during the 2nd stage.

Stage 2 - Sunday, January 4
Santa Rosa > Puerto Madryn
Connection: 0 km | Special: 237 km | Connection: 600 km | Total: 837 km
The longest stage of the rally will not necessarily be the most difficult. However, it should still be approached with vigilance and, above all, will a complete set of rally equipment. After a rapid first part of the special, a foretaste of sand will be proposed. On the off-roads of this stage, copilots will need to pay careful attention to their course. The more distracted will begin to “turn in circles”.

tracker shows RG 12th at 73KM mark 4:29 back
According to the "live timing" on the Dakar site, Robby is 12th at KM 73.0, 4'29" behind leader 301 Sainz.
with 28 cars through KM73 RG is holding on to 12th. EV in Hummer 2 is in 27th 7:32 back
9 cars through 108km, RG isn't one of them...
11 cars have now gone through CP2 at KM 108. Robby was the 17th car through CP1 with the 7th fastest time. Robby should be arriving at CP2 shortly.

****Update**** Robby Gordon is the 12th car through CP2 with the 10th fastest time.
6'15" back...10th of 13 cars through....for the stage

The live tracking has an "overall" tracker too, and it has RG up to 12th (out of the 14 cars scored through CP2), 17 minutes 19 seconds behind Sainz.
I have been bouncing between the "live tracking" and the Dakar:classments pages since the cars rolled off. The "live tracking" was a bit fubar, but seems to be keeping up a little better now.
live tracking on Dakar.com and what is the classments pages?
thanks!!!!!!!!!!
