STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: BUENOS AIRES > VILLA CARLOS PAZ

Connection 663km | Special Stage 170km | Total 833km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will be rapidly plunged into the heart of the Argentinean countryside. The combination of the route’s different features means that there will be something for everyone, while sticking to relatively simple criteria, for the time being. Fast tracks coupled with sharp bends will divide up the vehicles, according to the levels of the drivers, who will be tested in an exciting environment which marks this first special stage, but without singling out any particular category. At the end of this warm-up, the day will fi nish with a long liaison section to the first bivouac.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Loved how RG flew bye him at the end. Hopefully it's a foreshadowing to a changing of the guard.

Stage 2 longest special of the rally, 322 miles. Steady as she goes.

What time do I get up?! :)

This guy almost had a great video. His commentary cracks me up. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=97ZvkWpD_NU
he said thank god hope he got it on vid and that he would get re scrutenized for being fast
Would be great if YouTube had the translate feature Skype just launched.

OK. After staring at this stuff all day long, and giving everything some serious thought, here's what I've come up with: The Gordini looks great, solid, stable, squats in the corners and under acceleration, bad fast on the straights, nose down and level entering corners, and awesome in flight. The Pugs? Unstable at any speed and under all circumstances. Of course, I could be all wrong and full of shit, and Peterhansel wins. Gas On and pass the beer.
