COURSE OVERVIEW

In addition to the distance, here the competitors will be put to the test by all the difficulties offered by the Atacama Desert… and will have to display all the qualities required for off-road races. After the mine tracks and the many rivers to cross, the competitors will have to distinguish themselves in the heart of the Dunes of Copiapo: the fastest motorcyclists are expected to spend seven hours behind the wheel. Needless to say that on this decisive day there will be no shortage of opportunities for competitors to make a winning comeback in the race. This will be the key stage of the 2014 edition.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

fuel problem, not out yet

Nope nothing yet; most likely what happened is that he was given bad fuel, so returned back to the bivouac, and is now emptying/drying his fuel tank, and hopefully in the next hour or two can actually start the stage again.

Guess he was the only one out of 66 cars to get bad fuel. That engine seems to be a bugaboo of fuel issues.

If and when they refill the cell...add some Isopropyl Alcohol (16oz per 10 gal.) will absorb whatever moisture is left in the cell

So can anyone confirm if RG is out of the race due to an engine problem, or he's just solving the fuel issue but on race?

He's not out; still waiting on him to solve fuel issue and start the stage again.

You couldn't possably haul enough fuel to run the whole two weeks Thousands of miles @ 4-6 Mpg
