STAGE 12: San Juan > San Rafael

Connection 23 km | Special Stage 476 km | Connection 297 km | Total 796 km

Course Overview

For the longest stage of the rally, the program will be as lively as it will be spectacular. We will leave the area of dinosaurs on tracks cut by rios, surrounded by canyons and "fairy chimneys". After around 200 kilometres of special, the competitors will momentarily use the road in order to avoid a classified and protected natural site. The second part, exclusively sandy will have many jumps. The bikers can expect to have sore arms and the best of them will rarely ride at over 100 km/h. The day will be even more tiring due to the fact that it will end with a long liaison.

looks like somebody was speeding ,hopefully
Something is amiss with the standings at 334 km, look at the bikes. Total elapsed time for the leader DECREASED from 204 km to 334 km. Things looked to be back to normal at 363 km.
Something is fishy, Mislin gained 8 minutes on Sienz
Robby is through checkpoint 6th car through, 5 minutes off lead, 5th place on time.
The first cars are thru km 363- RG in 5th +4' 59".
rg thru km 412 4th +3m'43"
bj thru km 334 14th +20m
this time is bogus, but he is through so thats good. Wait for next checkpoint for correct time.
RG is gaining ground.
RG has passed Saintz on course. Maybe Saintz is going to try to follow Robby in for the victory.
3 min back of Terronova for the overall
Special will end early due to huge crowds at the finish.
