Stage 10 - Tuesday, January 13

Copiapo > Copiapo

Connection: 20 km | Special: 666 km | Connection: 0 km | Total: 686 km
The day’s special is simply the longest and most difficult of the rally. As on the previous day, the competitors will face a series of dunes at the end of the day that stretch over a hundred kilometers. And in this area, even the leading specialists will be faced with something new. The Chilean dunes are veritable mountains of sand, and pilots must learn to climb and descend their sides over more than one kilometer. Another unknown: due to the extreme heat of the region, no one knows exactly how the sand will behave. In any case, remaining clear-headed will be imperative all the way to the end.

the race was shortened in Robby's favor they left all the sand tracks in the stage
i was thinking the same thing.. I wonder if Robby complained to them personally like he did in the video.
Geez! I hope they don't try to shorten more today.. Only saying that as the start has been delayed by so much already.
Good Morning all from Chilly NY. 20 degrees here.
So what time do we start this morning?
I have a feeling tracking is going to be a pain in the ass today.. (and i'm not talking about the ASS at the end of the special either)..lol.. they say the Bikes took off at 9:45 but nothing on the trackers yet.
bikes just left 14:06

14:06 - Bike

15 - It’s a go for today’s special stage
Winner of yesterday’s stageç, Dutch biker Frans Verhoeven (KTM) started the day’s special stage at 9:45AM after the time of scheduled start was postponed by 2 hours and 40’ and was followed 2’ later by Frenchman David Frétigné (Yamaha). The leader in the overall standings, Spanish rider Marc Coma (KTM), will be starting 4th, 6’ after the first riders.
My tracking finally updated yesterday... about 20 minutes after folks were saying Robby was in.
tracker looking goofy already. Bikes just took off and 3 bikes are already at CP3. None thru 1 or 2 though. oh boy. this could be a long day
They have shortened the stage by cutting out from the start to CP3. CP3 is where they are actually starting (If I am reading it correctly).
no.. they took out a section in the middle. they go off the special after CP3.. then get back on the special at CP5.. then go to the end.
51 bikes left.. 2 have already made it to CP3.. oops....lol
quads are off now as well
