STAGE 10 TRACKING

STAGE 10: Iquique > Arica

Connection 317km | Special Stage 377km | Total 694km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The drivers will be overcome with even more intense sensations early in the morning. It is precisely at the beginning of the special stage that they will be deeply moved by a spectacular view, combining sand and waves, which continues for several kilometres. The theme will remain constant, since the most experienced experts will be able to surf on the dunes which stretch out for around a hundred kilometres. On the other hand, the difficult fesh-fesh area that will have to be tackled at the end of the special stage will bring everyone back to the tough reality of the long-distance rally.

Maybe he should start his own rally. There's a lot of desert in the world. :D

Robby needs to talk to Lance Armstrong about the French..!! Whthout Lance nobody gives a S**T about the Tour de France and without Robby and the Hummers the same thing will happen to Dakar.

Maybe Argentina, Chile, & Peru should look into overseeing this thing... There are plenty of RallyRaid races all around the world based on Dakar. If ASO starts scrubbing on fan favorites, they might want to start thier own... the only thing ASO owns is the rights to use Dakar in the title, though the government of Senegal might want to look into that as well. Hell, Chile alone could run a rally from North to South & cover far more desert miles. Arica to Tierra Del Fuego with a rest day in Santiago... Longest country in the world & home to some of the driest places on earth... I'm game.

Ehh Emm, After a year of preparation for the 2012 Dakar the American driver of a car called a Hummer sees himself embroiled in a battle with a Frenchmen Named Stephane Peterhansel for overall supremacy in both time competed and a chef salad of rules bending the likes of which to this point have not been seen in the history of the rally. In a bouquet of he said she said it is rumored that even though there are what to the average truffle taster could be genuine infractions the truth and balance of any and all out come is placed in the hands of some sort of governing bodies that while already have discounted its own previously written in stone rules dictating everything from equipment parameters to conduct in out and abroad for it's competitors and staff alike have no higher body of empowerment to answer to other than themselves. For the privateer no matter the skill, preparedness or will to compete the battle against the only pen left in the world stands as not only an uphill venture but a victory in any and all accomplishments up to this point. From the ever present handshake and a smile drop of the metaphoric green flag between RGM and last years champion Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah this has been an epic struggle between doing the right thing and kissing shit on all fronts up to and including an on course difference of opinion on the general sportsmanship that should be displayed between competitors one being under appeal or not. From one drunkin sailor to another not a blow does land but in sober discontent a battle with a predetermined winner thus raged. Not that the rose colored glasses I wear to bed when my side lifts heavenly upward upon my partners arrival won't help me deal with the what should be should be but damn it man, one party sets free of any and all wrong doing but when a genuine threat appears in the form of a red white and blue bad ass the silver forks drop like stones from the hands that feed (their own).

Simply brilliant.. they have been talking about Peter getting his 10th title this year, and when things are starting to look dicey for Steph they bend the rules.. typical

MM is BACK!

Drunken sailors make the most sense. Or, it takes one to know one?
Epic, felt like i was reading a vs from the bible

Yeah, this stuff today has no doubt been a huge buzzkill for the rally. One thing that can't be taken away is that Robby Gordon brings tremendous exposure to the Dakar Rally & its only going to get bigger for him in the future.

Sorry if this has already been asked, Is or has RG made a statement about what is going on?

More reason to place first

Lance would know better than just about anyone
