Jan 11th, 2012 Dakar Rally Stage 10 Race Info & Discussion

Join in and discuss all the action from Stage 10 of the 2012 Dakar Rally. Robby Gordon was the WINNER of stage 9 & is only down 5m58s in the overall standings. Nasser Al Attiyah did not finish stage 9, so he is out of the rally. Cars begin stage 10 at 7:44am/et (9:44am local). Raceday chat will be available throughout the entire 2012 Dakar Rally. COURSE OVERVIEW

The drivers will be overcome with even more intense sensations early in the morning. It is precisely at the beginning of the special stage that they will be deeply moved by a spectacular view, combining sand and waves, which continues for several kilometres. The theme will remain constant, since the most experienced experts will be able to surf on the dunes which stretch out for around a hundred kilometres. On the other hand, the difficult fesh-fesh area that will have to be tackled at the end of the special stage will bring everyone back to the tough reality of the long-distance rally.

If the car doesnt start the next stage, then boys have at it. I was told that they WILL race stage 11 tomorrow, so thats what I am prepping for. The rest is out of everyones hands, except the ASO. So you,me, and dupree wont know until you see an OFFICIAL release that he lost the appeal( if any ) from Dakar.

Nasser told them nothing, there was nothing to tell, can't imagne RG saying to nasser, we are bypassing the restrictor Lol,. how tha f.. is that possible,. no way, better stop the bs till we get the facts. so move on to stage 11

There won't be a stage 11 for RG if A.S.O says, this is A.S.O.'s playground, not the competitors

Thanks TOG, This artical sounds like what's going on is pretty crappy Robby hasn't been any faster than Nasser was so I'm assuming everything on the Hummers was identical and if so and there is an illegal part why was it not caught when Nasser won his stage. This is not a theory just thinking out loud...........I would like to know where RG stands as far as being able to continue? I had to leave the chat 'cause I was acting like an ass and owe a couple of people apologise so I'm out of the loop as to where RG stands, Ive read back 4 or 5 pages and it doesn't really shed anylight as to the current cituation. Just wondering if we are in sit and wait mode or done, parked, finished! Getting info must be like getting a straight comment from Micheal Martinez but curious just the same, ( just F'n with ya MM)
