Join in and discuss all the action from Stage 10 of the 2012 Dakar Rally. Robby Gordon was the WINNER of stage 9 & is only down 5m58s in the overall standings. Nasser Al Attiyah did not finish stage 9, so he is out of the rally. Cars begin stage 10 at 7:44am/et (9:44am local). Raceday chat will be available throughout the entire 2012 Dakar Rally. COURSE OVERVIEW

The drivers will be overcome with even more intense sensations early in the morning. It is precisely at the beginning of the special stage that they will be deeply moved by a spectacular view, combining sand and waves, which continues for several kilometres. The theme will remain constant, since the most experienced experts will be able to surf on the dunes which stretch out for around a hundred kilometres. On the other hand, the difficult fesh-fesh area that will have to be tackled at the end of the special stage will bring everyone back to the tough reality of the long-distance rally.

What is the talk of a penalty to robby for something not legal on his Hummer?

Do not know they did not specify Robby said that it is totally legal and had been approved in the past.

@Jeff - In the Stage 10 interview - Robby says that the racing body did not penalize him but wanted him to file an appeal about the inflation system on the wheels.. - he stressed it was no penalty.. Watch the "Stage 10 Finish Interview" ..

Kind of late to complain about that. One of the reasons he is running 2wd is it's legal to have the auto-inflation system. They can change the rules for next year. :)

Oh Shit, it's time to kick some ASS to the ASS....and here we were on the Planet watching our P's and Q's trying to be respectful of how we spell and use the names of the competitors, well that's horse shit is out the window now....As far as for Petersmoker's gay 2 time loosing French ass he really needs to feel the power of a jacked up Hummer on steriods run up the yellow back of his punk ass. It's not good we lost time but it's good we are behind the SOB for the start of tomorrows special...
