STAGE 7 TRACKING

STAGE 7: IQUIQUE > UYUNI

Connection 396km | Special Stage 321km | Total 717km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Numerous difficulties will mark the first part of the Bolivian marathon stage. The cars will tackle it first, followed by the motorcycles the next day. Right from the outset, the long liaison section will mean an early start, followed by a gradual climb to a height of more than 3,500m. Once on the high plateaux, the special stage will begin, with instructions to follow the roadbook with great care, in light of the large number of junctions on the route. One of the challenges of the day could be wear and tear on tyres. Once they have arrived in Uyuni, the competitors will only have completed half of the marathon stage.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Robby Gordon begins stage 7 at 8:44am/et

So...I'm getting up at 5:30 Pacific? Man, that's tough on a swing shift sleep into 9am every day guy.

Well I am getting up at 3:30. But I will be hitting the road at 5. So I will be hoping my friend a good race and maybe bring him good luck by not being able to monitor. Gas on Robby.

No bivouac support. Going to be packing heavy.

To all my fellow petrol heads in the US lets hope robby and Johnny have a ball tearer of a day they conquer the stage and get what they deserve success from a petrol head from the land down under who has followed robby since he was a pimply faced kid of sixteen driving with his old man in class one buggies

"...with instructions to follow the roadbook with great care, in light of the large number of junctions on the route…."

Does Robby go for it today knowing that he has the capability to fix it tonight? I would advise Nasser to play it safe.. you know a broken belt could end his rally ;)

Morning... this stage is too high for an atmospheric engine... a stage for turbo ...
how many horsepower less today?

I don´t think the one with the most horsepowers is the Winner, there are a lot more than just horsepowers that come into play.

Morning , i dunno

Just a little over an hour to go before they head out, ive got a feeling that this will be a good one

I hope a load of front runners mess up badly to bring RG back into contention
