TOG---Can you give us all some idea what is going on in the IRL and Robby possibly returning to it.  There was some mention of Derrick Walker in an earlier posting a few weeks back.   With his connection to Ryan Hunter-Reay and the fact that sponsorship dollars are drying up in the Cup Series---question---Has Robby considered going back to open wheel racing.   I realize that it is very late to make a move for this season but it would be so nice to see what Robby could to in a series where half of the races are street or road courses with all teams using the Honda engine out of the box.  The series is getting ready to switch to a new chassis for 2012 which will cut costs dramatically.  In addition, many-many economists are calling for a very flat--no true growth economic picture for the coming 5 years.  This may be the prime time to make the switch back over to the IRL.  With Tony George out, switch to a new car, etc---the IRL may be in the early stages of a comeback.  Nascar has been losing viewership, the stands are not full, etc.  Just my thought---Love to see Robby run in the IRL for 18 races with a teammate and have so much more time open to pursue the off road stuff.

The Derrick Walker connection is for the Indy 500 program. I just dont see him doing a full IRL schedule ever .
Thanks for the update TOG and for your time and energy keeping us posted. I realize that Indy Racing is much more physical and rarely do you see drivers in their 40's. I just wonder with a very flat economy how Nascar with it's higher cost structure is going to work for Robby
A little due diligence can go a long way.
