you get a nice little trophy. not sure about bragging rights, maybe after winning 3-4 times in a row, you can pull a VW.

At http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2012/us/sporting-aspects.html you can download a PDF of the Car/Truck regulations and in them is a section called Prizes and here is an image showing what it list.

It says "March 2011" at the end there but the rulebook is for the 2012 race so that must've been something they didn't catch when they were updating it.

I'm not sure if that is for Overall classification or if that is for each individual stage.

Hold on a second... If we're doing all of this for a purse smaller than a Nationwide race... I've got a great idea! Why don't we go racing in the Nationwide Series!

The Qatar and Toyo "purse" pays a little better then the NW purse.
