Those that have to race their way in:

Bill Elliott is in on speed
Tony Stewart is in on Champions Provisional

Racing for 2 spots:

Joe Nemecheck
AJ Allmendinger
Brad Keslowski
Jeremy Mayfield
Kirk Shelmerdine
Tony Raines
Derrick Cope
Kelly Bires
Geoff Bodine
sure is nice knowing RG is locked in
Ouch that's harsh...gotta say I'm rooting for AJ and Mayfield though
I'll say Allmendinger and Keslowski.
Ill be watching!
I'll say AJ and Raines
I say... Robby just hang out in the back and keep it and himself in one piece. It doesn't matter where he starts..
There is a lot of inexperience in that race. Almirola, Speed, Lagano, and thats just the guys who are already locked in. I dont see too many Robby supporters in that field, my guess is he will sit in the back the whole time. Hell, hes locked in, why not just park the car after the first cycle of pit stops. He can use that run to learn about the car, and avoid the rush at the end for the last two transfer spots...
I completely agree. I believe early on he will try and move back up in the draft to check how his car moves through the pack(before anyone gets too ballsy). I then expect him to just cruise around near the back trying new set-ups every pit stop.
I say get with Logano and another driver, maybe Speed, and use the 500 strategy. Run about a mile back from the front pack and learn what you can. It would not hurt working with the inexperienced drivers from the two best Toyota teams. Show them the #7 is a team player for Toyoya now, may be beneficial in the long run.
You are kidding right? Logano and Speed!!!! They are all over the place. I sure wouldn't want to draft with either one of them.

Scott was awfully spot-on today in qualifying, and frankly he wasn't in the Shootout long enough to show us what he's got. I have a lot of high hopes for my 2nd favorite driver ;)...
