Fuel Mileage and Making the Pit Stops at the Right Time.

Is this Robby's year for a great road course victory?

A short fun quote from Bump-Draft

Whether you love Robby Gordon or hate him- he’s one guy about which everybody has a strong opinion. One thing for sure: he’s his own guy and there’s not another driver in NASCAR like him. He’s a racer’s racer.

Someone once said of Tony Stewart, that he could put four wheels on a cockroach and win a race with it. Robby Gordon would be right there with him….running a special off-road edition cockroach and pushing Smoke all the way home.

His way may not always be right, but it’s his way.

Imo....I honestly believe that Robby is Damn prepared for this weeks race at sonoma.

Pit under green, a top finish can be seen.

Pit under yellow, RG will be one mad fellow.

Album due July 33rd
TOG....Is that posted up on the wall at the shop, on the pitbox and in the hauler?
Not really a bad call, they had to get into their window. They had to run 1 more green lap(bad fuel mileage) and the yellow came out just as he passed pit entrance. They called an audible and told him to pit, but he was already by the entrance. Oh well. On to 2010. Just pit 1-2 laps before the pit window this year and bank on late cautions. Better to run out on the last lap in the top 5, rather than re-start 26th with 30 to go and have no chance at all.
That was a great race up to the end.
All in all, you can only go home and learn from it and apply it to the next time.

My biggest concern this weekend is,
Robby wins or gets a top 5 finish,
Nascar tears his car down to the very last nut and bolt and they find an excuse to fk him over.

Check list...Check, check and check again!
Then if you feel the need to...Pray
sheesh. You would think the penalty that GOT RG BACK INTO THE TOP 35 would eliminate all the nascar conspiracy theories.
are you kidding? There's always going to be some black helicopter conspiracy theorists lol
Do what the 42 does.
Sorry SAM, Crew Chief told him to stay out for 1 more lap last year... Caution came out and killed his day. Not blaming the crew chief, just sayin'...The chances are pretty good (like 90%) there will be a G-W-C...and now 3 possible attempts. I say pit when you can and let the cards play out, but atleast be around to have a chance, you gotta pit with the guys up front. 1)Qualify up front 2) Pit with the guys up front 3) Challenge the guys up front for the win...anything else will be determined by luck...good or bad...
What we need is a good qualifying run so he does not have to risk an incident getting to the front.
don't leave any on the table
Yes, the practice sessions & qualifying leading up to the race he wasnt as fast as previous years, But he was still pretty damn good in the race. Ya heard !
Disagree again SAM,

Robby wasn't fast in qualifying & practices but during the race he was pacing off the leader and running same lap times as Tony Stewart. (It was the first year for the G-W-C, so everyone was preparing for about 2 extra laps)...FUEL was #1 priority.

With the possibility of 3 attempts this year...you gotta just go and see what happens at the end...cause 90% sure there will be cautions at the end...if there's a G-W-C, it will be more than 1..
