This issue is more like the CART/USAC split in the late seventies than it is with CART/IRL

So no breakaway series, all of this hoopla over nothing. lol

No not really nothing. This ordeal established control of Formula 1 with the constructors--Max and Bernie may "run" it, but in reality everyone in the world now knows who the real puppet-masters are: the constructors.
