DirectTV will not carry the VS channel

I guess i will have to download the episodes..... anyone else disappointed?

It sucks you wont be able to get it on tv but all is not lost, The SBS site has the clips you would see on Versus for all three categories and they post them the same day as that stage, were as you wouldn't see them on Versus until the next day. Just goto their video playlist. The Planet Dakar Group has a direct link to the SBS site. Plus WJM does a great job of posting the cars episodes on the Planet Main Page

BTW - Versus is also carrying most of the World Cup skiing leading up to the winter olympics. My Directv bill is $155 / mo.
and not getting Versus is pure BS,

Go to www.dakar.co, and there are logo's for TV networks that carry video highlights. I think the SBS feed is the very
same one that Versus uses. It's the next day just like Versus and they're categorizied on the right side so you can pick
cars, bikes, or trucks.

I switched back to cable. keep your Direct, the HD was so much better there.

Your right SC, the Versus Edition gives a better take on the American participants. I'm recording all episodes and will try to get them posted if its permissable to do so on here. Though something tells me WJM is probably already on it lol

i work for directv.... and hate the fact of them not carrying vs.. mainly for Dakar... other than that the channel sucked anyway...

I'm getting nice fat offers to come back to Directv, so it might work out better in the long run switching away for a few months.

The video is the same on Dakar.com and "SBS.com.au/dakar" .. Fans video here on Planetrobby.com. gives you a good spectator view. Robbygordon.com and Toyotire.com/blog is good to.. I'm watching Versus and you guys aren't missing anything so far.

I just saw stage 2 on SBS.com.au/dakar I would have to wait till tomorrow to see it on Versus..Tomorrow I'll just see it on a bigger screen

Can anyone tell me if the versus' dakar rally is just the same material that is on eurosport.com or dakar.com but just with american commentator or maybe US crew has it's own fellows out there and there is more talking with guys from car #302? And another question, is there any footage of Monster Team at bivouac just like last year it was? Thx in advantage for reply!
