Here are some deeper stats on the COT...and PROOF that NASCAR killed the competition:

In the 3 years the COT ran the wing only 22 drivers scored a win, in the 3 years before the COT 41 drivers scored a win. (That's almost half!) Since Nascar ditched the wing for the spoiler 12 different winners in less than a year 60% increase! Proof the wing killed competition.

Look how it effected some notebale drivers:

Jeff Gordon:

COT w/ wing: 93 races 4 wins

COT w/ spoiler: 26 races 0 wins

Before COT: 72 wins

Dale Earhardt Junior:

COT w/ wing: 93 races 1 win

COT w/ spoiler: 26 races 0

Before COT: 17 wins

Robby Gordon:

COT w/ wing: 92 races 0 wins

COT w/spoiler: 18 races 0 wins

Before COT: 3 wins

Kurt Busch:

COT w/ wing: 93 races 4 wins

COT w/ spoiler: 26 races 1 win

Before COT: 17 wins

COT w/ wing: Most wins Jimmie Johnson 22 wins, Different drivers that won 22 (0ver 3 years)

COT w/ spoiler: Most wins Denny Hamlin 6 wins, Different drivers that won 12 (Less than 1 year)

3 Years Prior to COT: Different winners :41

Some great stats Zoom, Seems like it became a "who has the most money deal" with the COT. Its really to bad.
your research is a testament to all of ours' couch crew cheifing.
The problem here is we've had what, 3-4 years with the COT... and you've used how many years of "before COT"?
I used 3 years before the COT for the stats (excpet wins by the indvidual drivers I listed...the rest was apples to apples!

3 years before COT vs 3 years w COT
THE 3 YEARS BEFORE 41 different drivers scored a win...3 YEARS WITH COT 22 different drivers scored a win....how much more proof do you need than that!
The bottom line here is unless you can drive a loose race car you don't have a chance. Just look at who won the COT races thoes drivers have the talent to drive a loose car. Jeff Gordon for example good driver but doesen't like a loose car.
