Robby's 22nd place finish tightened him up in the points to pull with 36 points of 31st in Owner Points. Paul Menard moved ahead of Michael Waltrip & David Stremme into 31st.

(30th place has a 150+ point lead over 31st)

RGM also increased it's lead over 36th by quite a distance, making the Top 35 out of any jeopardy for a while.

Wait, why would we get a penalty?
Conspiracy theory states that NASCAR can always find a reason to penalize the #7.
Locked In Forever.......very cool...
Keep movin' up Robby ! Man, if you can jump 3-4 in the standings you'll get even more respect for overcoming all the grief NASCAR throws at you, especially as a true single car team built from scratch. The paddock has to know by now that if you had equal funding and everything the mega-teams have you'd be a regular in victory circle.
34th, 31st what's the difference?
+3
Robby said befor the crash at the end they would be building a new plate car. They lost there best one at Dega.
Owners Points BigZoom...we are 31 out of 33rd, 36 out of 32nd, and 143 out of 31st......152 out of 30th.
30 John Henry 6 1,620 (+152)
31 Michael Waltrip 55 1,611 (+143)
32 Max Jones 98 1,504 (+36)
33 Roger Penske 12 1,499 (+31)
34 Robby Gordon 7 1,468
35 Teresa Earnhardt 34 1,335 (-133)
36 Dietrich Mateschitz 82 1,163 (-305)
if anyone gets excited going to 31st this late in the season is way off. I watched the whole race last night and he sucked, startegy, car, etc. RG used to be tough at RPs and RCs, this year has been a loss on those tracks.

I never thought I'd see RG afraid to mix it up and race with the big boys, but he kept crying that they are going to wreck any minute, we'll, running 15 seconds behind will never put you near VL. How much longer the sponsors settle for this lack of performance is the big questions I have.

I was in Daytona all last week for work and came home Friday after finding out RGM did not have a trailer there selling goods, wtf, this isn't pocono. They are turely performing and being run like a 34th position team.
"They are truely performing and being run like a 34th position team".
Yes they are. Well spoken. Checkers or Wreckers is what I say... that attitude was nowhere last night.
I agree with Sal.7. He ran in the back all night and still came away with a wrecked car. They could not run higher then mid20's when the whole field was in the race. When they started mid teen they didn't or couldn't stay there. If he wants to win races, he needs to adopt the Stewart model and buy his cars. Which is what Ambrose's team does and they seem to run better then our boy week after week.
