Actually RGM could stay in the Top 35 even skipping races. With S&P teams only picking up 1-5 points a race. If RG has a Top 5 at the roadies and finishes solid at other races, he could very well be locked in the Top 35 and miss races.
Not true. As I've said before, if you skip a race, you're out...doesn't matter how high you are in the points.
NIKAL, u didnt pick up on the 7 staying out til the checkers after he couldn't pass, or be passed anymore @ PHX? Contrary to what was said pre-season, Robby's actions say he hasn't completely closed any doors. Oh, & before anybody says he was "testing", or "taking notes", take a look at the heap he brought back to the shop. My bet is the 7 car ends up driving a schedule very similar to 2010. Thats just my 7cents worth...
Bigzoom couldn't figure out how to have "Danger Zone" from Top Gun play when you click on the thread.
"Highway to the Danger Zone..."
The guys directly behind RG all the way to 35th can all get a top five or even a win at anytime. Leap Frogging him.
Does Robby know this yet?
The bad news it takes 2x-3x that to run complete races for a full season. The tire budget for tire alone for a season of complete races is a Mil.Wait till Diesel is over $5 a gl. I predict we'll see short fields in all three divisions.
Who's to say that by missing a few races he won't stop in the top 35? Other teams might miss races and even if they dont he might still score well enough in races he runs to stop inside.
