Any guess on how much the McQueen Husky is going to sell for?

The famous auction house Bonhams will be responsible for making available to the public the jewel of McQueen, his Husqvarna 400 Cross, 1970 that covers many captured at the time. Yes, the famous photo of McQueen with the torso in the air and riding a dirt bike, because that bike is going to the highest bid. This bike was the same that the star disappeared from the big screen of two wheels and drove in the movie "On Any Sunday", known here as "Test 1", in 1971 .

The auction will take place on January 10 at Bally's Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and they come with a long list of documentation that accredits it as authentic.

Besides this jewel BMW also be auctioned four classic competition, between which lies a Kompressor vehicles and objects of interest, such as an Indian Rambler 1902. You know, if you can spare some cash, spend a few days in Las Vegas and enjoy this show.

Recall that the Husqvarna 400 is a dirt bike equipped with a powerful 2T cycle single cylinder engine, air-cooled, 395 cc, which was used by many pilots of the time to participate in the Baja races , achieving good results. Today it is a collectible bike.

I did some emailing around and got some info for you guys. The reserve on the bike at the January auction was $160K. Being that another McQueen 400 Cross sold for $144.5K and this one is the On Any Sunday bike, the consensus is the sellers are wanting $175-$185K for it.

Is it worth it? Knowing what it costs to restore a basket case Husky, even if they sold it for $100K that's a 2,000% profit. So what's driving the price, perceived sentimental value or greed? Regardless, McQueen has got to be laughing his ass off. I wonder if Malcolm still has his On Any Sunday Husky?

IMO, Mert Lawwill's '69 Greeves 360 Challenger fake Harley that he rode at the end of the film with Malcolm and Steve would be a rarer prize.

My dad took me to see that movie when I was around 7. Whould love to see it again. I have my Dads Yamaha 1974 DT 360 only has about 2000 miles on it. Runs great needs some tlc . One day it will happen
