While I am in Ensenada for today’s Baja 500, the No. 7 team was in Pocono preparing for this weekend’s Cup race. I want to personally thank Ted Musgrave for his help yesterday practicing and attempting to qualify our Cup car as well as our team members for their hard work. Despite missing the race, Ted and team made a valiant effort to get the No. 7 into the race.

I believe that all successful companies go through times like this – they have highs and lows. I remember Penske Racing missing the Indy 500 with three cars in 1995 and Paul Tracy just last month. We will recover from this just like Penske did, and we will be stronger because of it.

While I am disappointed that we will not participate in tomorrow’s race at Pocono Raceway, I want to thank our employees for their hard work and our sponsors for their continued support. What remains through all of this is Robby Gordon Motorsports’ commitment to the success of our diversified racing programs.

you will make it up in Sonoma!!!
I literally have tears in my eyes.
That is why I am a fan of RG; always think positive and good things will happen.
Pocono is difficult enough to get a good setup at. Much more difficult for a fresh CC, with a fresh driver. Good effort from Ted & Gene. Wouldn't mind seein Ted's name attached to a 2nd car @ Sonoma. That could be a lot more interesting.
If Ted have the funding, any second car for RGM can only help the program.
actually he did.....But as you were...
He better have the best motor Triad has got next week in Michigan. If he can get a top 20 he might be able to get back in.
Easy on the Triad Comments... People are touchy on here about that! Haha

As always Robby is good with words. Look at any of his interviews. Never hesitates and always says the right things with a hint of hidden meaning! Always interesting
Right On Robby
Does anyone know if this was a one time deal with Ted,or will he have other opportunities later in the year?
It's not Ted fault that Robby was in Baja instead of Pocono...
SON OF A BUMMER we did not race today, Robby keep up the great work and connect with the big $$$$ supporters so we that we can be at the front time in and time out for the fans and camera.
