Skinner was the official #31 driver that year, but was injured and Robby was his replacement. I guess no one wanted to spring for a new fire suit.

that was sweet.

I always felt a little bad for Skinner, though. I think he's a good driver and it must really eat at somebody who once said "I'd wreck my mother to win a Cup race" to have RG win the first time out with a team he had driven for for several years.

Still, no less sweet for RG.

A great race on a great fall day in NH. Thank God Jimmie Johnson can't say he got Lowes' first win.
Bruton, if you are going to take a date from NH take the June/July race, leave the fall race alone.

Or better yet DON"T take a date. It was to bad the championship was already decided before that race, but the sales at the trailers that did show up were great.

How many times had Jeff Gordon spun someone late in a race to win that season? Twice? Nothing I hate worse than a hypocrite, and That Other Gordon wrote the book.
