Just a reminder that today is the second day of testing at Lowes Motor Speeday. I suspect we will see a major increase in speeds, as teams had plenty of time to make monumental changes to their cars. Robby was at the bottom of the speed charts on day #1,hopefully they pick it up today.

Yeah, he was SLOW in the morning, but last night he picked it up with the 17th fastest time out of 61
I forgot all about the nightime testing session. Much better speeds. Scott Speed kicked ass!

Much better. I have a feeling Scott Speed is going to rock the Nascar establishment next year.
I am going to head over to the track this evening to watch the last of the testing. I will bring the scanner and try to pick up some info!
13 th fastest.......... so nobody has anything to say when RGM does well??????????

Funny................

Rock on rgm......... GOOD LUCK IN KANSAS!!!
probably most are in bed to comment. Don't worry, there will be positive articles on this.
Look at that 13th fastest time. Way to go NUMBER 7!!!! Maybe Robby is allowing Kirk to do his job. Just think that was with GEM motors. Put a Penski in it and bump it up maybe another 1/2 or even 1 mile. Now see were he might be.
I saw Kirk doing and excellent job at Dover.Regardless if Robby says he calls all the shots, I saw Kirk preparing before the race and did an outstanding job on Sunday.
It's great that RG was able to take his parts and pieces to the track and move up to 13th...

The problem is the other 12 cars in front of him will take lots of data stored in the on board computers back to the shop and share it with the 30 cars behind him and instantly leap frog his ass.

RGM will go back to the shop with the data they have and ponder it hoping to better their understanding of what worked and didn't work.
Fly,
You do understand the game, don't you? I am pleased however with the results. What it shows is that given enough test time they can improve the car. You can't show up on race day with a dog of a car and expect to make it that much better in a few hours of practice.

BRR
Actually, I bet there's a bunch of us on here (I know there's at least one - me) that doesn't "understand the game" as well as they want to. Who can tell us what RGM is going to do with their data collection? Do they throw it into sim software? How many engineers are there to review? Are you out there Fatback Losaw?
Conditions this week might be different when the raceweekend comes along. As long as RG drives the car like RG knows how to,then he will be just fine.
