“I like coming to Pocono; it’s a different track that fits my driving style. Pocono is a very difficult track for the COT though. It’s flat, fast, and rough, which makes it challenging to get the car to handle well in all three corners. One of the main things you really need to be successful here is the ability to pick up the throttle early in turn 3 and a strong motor to pull you down the long front stretch. And don’t forget that track position is also important for a successful finish.”

If you have listened to Robby over the scanner he has constantly said "We're getting killed in the straightaways.!" Even other GEM cars have had stronger motors in the straightaways. His car has been pulling off the corners better than most and allowing him to pull away by 2-3 car lengths, but they seem to pull back or pass him on the straightaways. With Pocono's long straightaways will Robby have the motor for Pocono?

The team indentified some issues they had the last race and should have a better car, but will the motor be any better? Dodge is suppose to have their new motor available soon and it's doubtful they will chance it with Kasey Khane being a Chase contender. Most obvious would be Patrick Carpentier and probably Gordon for GEM. Reed will probably test the engine for Ganassi and Hornish for Penske.
